Each spring, members from every squadron and chapter convene at the National Conclave to conduct business meetings, vote on resolutions and amendments, select the incoming national headquarters, and choose the Joint National Project.

NATCON

The National Conclave

NATCON is the annual national conclave of Arnold Air Society and Silver Wings. Members from every squadron and chapter gather to run the general assembly, vote on resolutions and amendments, hear from senior leaders, select the incoming national headquarters, and choose the Joint National Project. Between national gatherings, each region hosts a Region Conclave (RCON) to train and connect nearby units.

Joint National Project

Suicide prevention and
mental health awareness.

The Joint National Project is voted on by both Silver Wings and Arnold Air Society every year at the National Conclave. This year’s JNP emphasizes support for veterans, service members, and individuals who may be struggling with mental health challenges.

Activities may be coordinated through the Silver Wings National Activities Officer and the Arnold Air Society National Director of Operations, as well as through initiatives created within local communities.

How units take part

  • Host suicide prevention awareness events on campus and in the community.
  • Partner with organizations that promote mental health resources.
  • Educate others about support systems such as crisis hotlines and counseling services.
  • Reduce stigma, promote awareness, and make a meaningful impact together.

Signature National Project

Supporting accessibility
and disability.

The Signature National Project is selected by the assembly of Silver Wings members every 3–5 years. It gives chapters a sustained focus for service hours, strengthens our communities, and grows our identity as civilian supporters.

How chapters take part

  • Volunteer with local organizations that serve people with disabilities.
  • Advocate for accessible spaces and events on campus and in the community.
  • Educate members and peers on accessibility and inclusion.
  • Log service hours toward the Signature National Project.

Region Conclaves

RCONs: training and
connection close to home.

Between National Conclaves, each of the eleven regions hosts a Region Conclave (RCON). RCONs bring nearby squadrons and chapters together for training, regional business, awards, and joint service, and prepare members for NATCON.

Dates and locations are set by each Region Commander and announced to units in the region.

What happens at an RCON

  • Leadership and officer training for squadron and chapter members.
  • Regional business meetings and elections.
  • Regional awards and recognition.
  • Joint service projects with nearby units.
