2025-2026 AAS-SW Flight Scholarship Application
The Arnold Air Society and Silver Wings Executive Management Center (AAS-SW EMC) is proud to announce the opening of the 2025–2026 Flight Scholarship Program. This year, twenty-two (22) scholarships valued at $1,000 each will be awarded in January 2026 to support the aviation aspirations of outstanding AAS-SW members.

🌟 Eligibility
Every active, dues-paid member of Arnold Air Society or Silver Wings is eligible to apply—whether or not you have prior flight experience. We encourage all who have a passion for aviation to apply.
🛫 How to Apply
Interested candidates may self-nominate by completing the online application form linked above.
Applicants must provide:
- A 300-word essay describing their motivation to pursue flight training, aviation interests, and leadership experiences.
- An unofficial transcript showing a minimum 2.5 GPA on a 4.0 scale.
- Agreement to provide a short thank-you message and photo (e.g., at flight training or near an aircraft) for release to sponsors if selected.
Note: Use of AI in drafting the essay must be properly cited.
🧭 Selection Process
Applications will be reviewed by a board of two retired pilot General Officers. Selection is based on the quality of the essay, demonstrated interest in aviation, and leadership potential. Financial need is not a consideration.
✈️ Scholarship Use
Award recipients will be notified through their Detachment Commanders in January 2026. Funds will be distributed directly to the student’s selected fixed-base operator (FBO) in two $500 increments—available January 2026 and April 2026—to be used for approved flight training expenses.
